The Discovery upper boot basket is secured by a bracket that attaches to the roof grab handles. The first time it is fitted, the grab handles need to removed, the brackets fitted and then the grab handles replaced.
I would think the threaded holes are in place behind the headlining so you could source some second hand grab handles to fit.
