What is the maximum weight that the carrier can handle?
For example: is it possible to attach an extra bicycle rack to the wheel carrier?

There is no weight rating as such for this spare wheel carrier. It is designed to be stronger than the standard door mounted spare wheel carrier. It would certainly carry 2 normal type bikes but not heavy ebikes.
