For your model year, it would have most likely been fitted with the earlier Hitachi type from new, but it would have been replaced several times already, and it is quite likely that the later AMK type compressor may have been fitted, so the only way to be sure is a visual check, they do look quite different. Neither compressor is particularly better than the other and it is much easier to replace like for like to avoid any problems or programming.
