This breather hose is manufactured from conventional automotive rubber, similar to the original equipment hose, rather than silicone. It is designed to withstand the heat, oil vapour and operating conditions found in the TD5 engine's breather system. Silicone hoses are generally used for coolant or intercooler applications and are less commonly used for crankcase breather hoses due to the constant exposure to oil. This hose is intended as a direct replacement for the original Land Rover specification part LLH500180.
